calm

over spring break, i spent the majority of my time at seth's house, making him breakfast before he started working from home, enjoying lunch together, making dinners, catching up on shows, and generally enjoying each other's company. i was able to read and relax and exercise and do so many things i wanted to do just to... exist, for a little while.

his birthday is tomorrow. he'll be thirty-three. this weekend, i'm going to take him on a cute little date to a nearby town to the restaurant he wants to go to and to the piano bar. possibly a walk at the arboretum or a bit of bowling / mini golf.

i'm excited to give him his present and i really hope he likes it! (taiyaki pan)

things are just good.

i haven't felt so balanced and calm in a long time.

we got our schedules for the next school year and i am teaching almost entirely new classes: juniors, instead of my usual sophomores and seniors. i also got two french classes and creative writing. i am thrilled, to say the least.
