it is a wonderful thing to feel a collective sense of wonder, like when the moonbow finally appeared over cumberland falls, faint, but very much present. standing at the railing with seth's arm around me to keep me warm, our gasps happening at the same time when we saw it, the smiles that spread over our faces... these are the kinds of experiences i want to keep having.

later on, in the hot tub at our little cabin, the lights under the water shone red as seth swam toward me, his hair pushed back, his eyes somehow even bluer.
this is what i want.
