have i talked about being a student manager around here yet? because it is actually quite good. i am excited to get my paycheck in a week and a half because it'll have about $430 on it for two weeks!
mondays (late night, where i close) were the ones i was most afraid of--however, we've gotten out by midnight twice in a row! so it's going well.
on my tuesday/thursday 9-1 shifts, i have 7/15 spots filled... which means i don't have half of the staff i'm supposed to! le sigh. but it works out all right, i just run around a bit more than i normally would have to.
all in all, it's a lot of hours, and it's pretty tiring, but it's also really rewarding when someone tells you that you're a good manager. and i TRY really hard to be good and to compliment people when they're doing a good job/doing something right/doing something extra because i know how much it sucks to not feel appreciated.

sarah's supposed to hang out with my thursday night. we'll see if it happens. and i've gotta find something to do friday night. i'm thinking i might go see Our Idiot Brother. or wait until saturday's matinee to save money. depends on who i can get to tag along. we don't have classes on monday (hooray labor day!) and i don't know if we're having a partyish thing or not here at the house, but i'd really like to, depending on who works and when (because i work saturday night and open sunday morning). we'll see how it goes.

i love my french 421 group. this consists of me, caroline, matt, austin, and kyle. and it really is great. on mondays we all get together two hours before the class actually starts just to hang out. today we went and ate at the burrito shack (which was delicious by the way) and then hung out in the library and then just waited in faculty hall, fourth floor, as always. and we were the only ones in class today! which made it about a million times better. roughly. instead of having the other three there too. it was great.
anyhow, i'm just rambling. we just all have a really good dynamic. it's nice.
