matt got the job he wanted--an actual career and when he told me, the only thing i felt was happiness and this weird swelling pride and for the first time, there was no backlash and no hidden jealousies or bad feelings at all.

being home (my parents' home) is the next nicest thing i've felt in a long time. sitting here with both dogs while i talk to my brothers is just so nice and familiar.

i love discussing books with people. i love discussing one of my favorite books (the great gatsby) more specifically.

and i like splitting pitchers of margaritas with my best friends.

things are good. that's all.
