having a fake baby crush on this student who is my age and basically already fluent makes it really easy to think about my future in a really strange way.

i can say things like, "so my favorite student is the only other adult i've ever seen drink capri sun in public so i'm probably in love with him," and these things are clearly a joke, but it's putting more space between what i have and what i want. in a good way, i think.
