personal statements and christmas stuff

my student told me today that i looked cute with my backpack. his personal statement for grad school (that we've been working on together for over a month) is almost finished, and he asked me today if we could send it off together since we've worked so hard on it. quite sweet.

last night, matt and i made a gingerbread house while listening to christmas songs with a fire in the fireplace, and then we bought a tiny free and decorated it. and it was actually really nice.

i don't know. i bought an amazing new water bottle and also bought the best blanket in the whole world ('the big one' brand from kohl's) so i mean, there's that.
