i've been outside at least two hours already today with emma. we are trying to soak in as much sunlight as possible before we aren't allowed to anymore.

i was being goofy and running and laughing with her and a nice, older french man and his wife stopped me and said, "it's so nice to see someone laugh and smile in our circumstances. it makes me happy."

and that's what i needed.
