In which i worry about the future

we moved everything into the kitchen today. my mother cooked for the first time in months. and my father received from me a mcdonald's breakfast and a pecan pie (his favorite).

i watched a special today on a little girl whose schizophrenia showed up really early, like when she was a toddler. and it reminded me of the documentary i watched about the four year old boy who was declared depressed and spoke about and showed his mother how he would kill himself. at fifteen he jumped out of the window of their apartment.

and now i'm watching a special on addictions/obsessions including tanning, eating chalk, running, and compulsive shopping.

it's a scary, unpredictable world out there.
