i had to go by eric's house today to drop off racquetball string. i wasn't going to go in except that gracie went to the window and smiled so big... i almost regret staying the whole hour. we just played together.

every few minutes she asked... "when are you coming back?" or... "you're gonna come back tomorrow?" and then nicolas started with, "are you gonna come watch me play t-ball?"

i cried the whole way home.

my dad ordered pizza because he saw how upset i was, and then john ryan and i sat on the couch and watched movies all night.
